Academic Shoot

What challenges did you encounter while trying to get close, capture real moments, and capture action or emotion? How did you deal with these?

  • While i was taking the academic pictures everytime i got close they would either hide their face or look at the picture. On the other hand, some people wanted me to take thier picture so they where easy to capture, but with the people that didnt want me to take their picture i just walked away and then when they werent paying attention i took their picture. I was hard tho because if they saw you coming towards them they would start looking you again trying to see where you were goin. In some of my pictures i got them messing around just to show that they werent just working the whole time because the truth is that they werent working at all because they had a sub.
What technical aspects of photography (focus, exposure, composition) did you find yourself thinking about the most, and how did you make sure you did these correctly?
  • I thought about filling the frame the most because i knew that if i got to close that they would start to look at me so i zoomed in and and tried different angles that would fill the frame the most but i got a good picture of them working.

Describe how you attempted to use at least one of the advanced composition techniques when you shot.

  • I tried to use the rule of thirds because i didnt want to have a student in the middle of the frame so i would move a lilttle so they were off to the right or left a little, so that i could get a picture of a student working and then have students not working on the right or left of them.
